Dr Lasitha is a general ophthalmologist with a clinical interest in cataract and corneal surgery.
Trained initially in Sri Lanka, he achieved first class honours, seven distinctions and at postgraduate level the gold medal for best performance. Further studies include research and a clinical fellowship in cornea, external eye diseases and refractive surgery in Singapore.
Lasitha is an internationally accredited trainer for the Asia Cornea Society, has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and presents at conferences including the International Asia Pacific Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
Before joining Southwest Eye Surgeons in Bunbury, Dr Lasitha gained his UK and Australian ophthalmology fellowships.
