Dr Liam Halliday’s interests include hip and knee arthroplasty including anterior hip replacement and robotic surgery.


He has also had international training in hip preservation surgery including periacetabular osteotomy and paediatric orthopaedics.


Liam grew up in country Victoria and graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009. After receiving his fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons he worked in Melbourne for two years completing a trauma and arthroplasty fellowship at Western Health, followed by a further fellowship in anterior hip replacement and hip preservation surgery with Mr Jit Balakumar.


This was complemented with a fellowship in paediatric orthopaedic surgery at Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand.


Liam has a focus on evidence-based care, and a unique background in adult and paediatric orthopaedics that enables him to guide patients through arthroplasty and joint preserving options including arthroscopy of the hip and knee.
