Dr Eng Gan is a locally trained gastroenterologist, graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2003 and completing his advanced gastroenterology training in Perth, Western Australia.


He has a clinical interest in chronic liver diseases and liver fibrosis. In particular, he has substantial experience in non-invasive diagnosis of liver fibrosis and is proficient in FibroScan®. Dr Gan enjoys all aspects of clinical gastroenterology including inflammatory bowel disease, bowel cancer screenings, reflux disease and irritable bowel syndrome.


He is highly proficient in endoscopic skills and provides gastroscopies and colonoscopies for a wide range of gastroenterological problems including colorectal cancer surveillance and other common gastroenterological complaints.

• Dr Gan is fluent in many languages (Malay, Mandarin, Hokkien and Cantonese). He is also a dedicated teacher through his position as adjunct clinical lecturer at the University of Western Australia.
