Dr Bill Gong is a specialist general surgeon. He obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014 after completing training at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. He and his wife Esther decided to spend a few years in Perth when a Fellowship opportunity arose. He completed his first year of Fellowship in Acute Surgery at Fremantle Hospital. During his second year of Fellowship, he worked at Fiona Stanley Hospital with a sub-specialised focus in acute surgery, ant-reflux procedure and hepatic, biliary and pancreatic surgery
Now calling Perth home, Dr Gong is employed by the South Metropolitan Health Service, consulting and operating at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Dr Gong also participates in the on-call after hours roster at St John of God Murdoch Hospital.
Dr Gong is a no gap provider for all emergency presentations. He is a known gap provider for most specialised procedures.
