Dr Abdallah Elsabagh is a Perth-based general and colorectal surgeon, consulting and operating at St John of God Murdoch, Subiaco and Midland (Public and Private) Hospitals.


He provides comprehensive surgical care with a strong focus on minimally invasive techniques, including advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery.


Dr Elsabagh completed his medical degree and basic surgical training at the University of Cairo in Egypt, followed by further qualifications through the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2009, he migrated to Australia and went on to complete his general surgical training in Western Australia, receiving his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2019.


He subsequently undertook two years of subspecialty colorectal fellowship training at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide and the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane —both leading centers for robotic colorectal surgery.


Dr Elsabagh's clinical interests include:

• inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

• Dr Elsabagh has a strong academic background, holding a Masters of Surgical Science and a Master of General Surgery from the University of Edinburgh. He has authored several publications in international surgical journals and continues to engage in research and surgical education.
