Dr Russell Dalton is an obstetrician with a subspecialty in gynaecology who treats patients at St John of God Ballarat Hospital.
Dr Dalton graduated from Monash University with Honours in 1986.
He commenced specialist obstetric and gynaecology training in 1990 at Monash Medical Centre and the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne with a range of inspiring teachers and mentors.
Dr Dalton’s training included a particular focus on fertility treatment, including laparoscopic surgery.
In 1994 Dr Dalton moved to the UK, working at St John's Hospital in Chelmsford, where he gained valuable knowledge and skills from this experience.
Dr Dalton and his family returned to Ballarat and he commenced his obstetric and gynaecology practice in 1995.
He also has a strong focus on teaching of both medical students and specialist trainees, with an emphasis on team work, safety and attention to detail in the provision of medical care.
