Mr Kosta Calligeros is consulting and operating at St John of God Berwick Hospital, Drouin and Warragul. Kosta completed his orthopaedic training in 2012 in Sydney with advanced subspecialty training in Edinburgh (Scotland) to gain further expertise in hip replacement, knee replacement and trauma surgery. Kosta also spent six months of his training in Portland, Oregon (USA) in paediatric orthopaedics. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals on topics including hip and knee replacement surgery, deformity correction and medical ethics.
Kosta will take referrals for hip and knee replacement surgery including complex revision surgery, sports injuries including arthroscopy of the knee, complex trauma and paediatric orthopaedic trauma.
Kosta currently has public appointments with Monash Health, Peninsula Health and, as part of the commitment to St John of God Berwick Hospital, Kosta is also on the on-call roster for orthopaedics, enabling some of the emergency cases to be cared for at St John of God Berwick Hospital.
