Dr Wendy Cheng graduated from the University of Western Australia (MBBS) and completed training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (FRACP). She completed her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Queensland (MD) in hepatology, followed by two years of a Hepatology Fellowship at the University of Southern California, USA. She is a Fellow of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (FASSLD).



Apart from practicing at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital, Dr Cheng has sessional appointments at Royal Perth Hospital where she heads the Liver Service, involved in both clinical and research activities. Dr Cheng is a Clinical Professor at the University of Western Australia and an Adjunct Professor at School of Medical and Health Sciences, Edith Cowan University.



Dr Cheng offers consultative services on a range of gastrointestinal and liver diseases and endoscopic services. She has a special interest in liver diseases, in particular viral hepatitis.
