Rob is a fully credentialed adult and paediatric urologist and hypospadias surgeon practicing in the Melbourne and Geelong areas.


He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Queensland and was later awarded Master of Philosophy in the Field of Medicine for his research in immunotherapy treatment for prostate cancer.


He completed Urology training in Queensland and subspecialty training in paediatric urology in the UK after which he continued at Birmingham Children’s Hospital as Specialist Paediatric Urologist, developing the Urinary Tract Stone Service.


Rob was the first urologist at Birmingham Children’s Hospital to provide endoscopic lasertripsy as a treatment for children with urinary tract stones and was integral in the development of the Adolescent Urology Transition Service between The Children’s and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals, Birmingham.


While practicing in England, Rob completed formal paediatric urology specialist training, becoming the first Australian urologist to attain status of Fellow of the European Academy of Paediatric Urology (awarded by the ESPU/JCPU).


He also gained extensive experience in hypospadias surgery including techniques for foreskin preservation, as well as grafting techniques for urethral replacement/ reconstruction in the most severe cases
