Dr Matt Clifford is an interventional radiologist with public and private appointments in Perth. After graduating with honours from the University of Western Australia (MBBS), he completed a Diploma of Child Health (DCH) through the University of Sydney, radiology training in WA, and dual fellowships at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in body imaging and interventional radiology. Following this he gained valuable experience working in interventional radiology in Queensland, focusing on embolisation therapies.
Dr Clifford holds the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) certification and received the EBIR Certificate of Distinction in 2024, awarded to the top two candidates worldwide.
His special interests include prostate artery embolisation (PAE), uterine fibroid embolisation (UFE), geniculate artery embolisation (GAE), ovarian vein embolisation (OVE), varicocele embolisation, and selective internal radiotherapy (SIRT).
Dr Clifford also provides services at Perth Children's Hospital.
