Dr Geoff Cooper is a locally trained orthopaedic surgeon who has completed three fellowships covering joint replacement, adult reconstruction and upper limb surgery in Canada, Switzerland and Perth.

He has a clinical interest in joint arthroplasty using patient specific instrumentation and the Mako robot as well as knee and shoulder disorders where new techniques allow less invasive surgery with a more rapid recovery.

Dr Cooper's philosophy is that life is about 'living' and this drives much of his patient management. At the same time, he believes that the human body is a great healer and may often heal itself. Surgery can be a part of the solution but he prides myself on discussing all of the options with patients and not just relying on the surgical options.
