Ben Clark is an ophthalmologist specializing in surgical and medical diseases of the retina and vitreous. He graduated from Melbourne University medical school in 1983. He was an intern and resident medical officer at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and trained in Ophthalmology at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. After finishing his training he worked as a senior registrar at Queen’s Medical centre Nottingham U.K. and subsequently undertook a retinal fellowship at the Bristol Eye Hospital.


He is a VMO at Barwon Health and is a visiting consultant at the RVEEH vitreo-retinal unit. He is a member of the Australia and New Zealand society of retina specialists, the American society of retina specialists and the European society of retina specialists.


He is a current member of RANZCO indigenous committee and has done overseas aid work in Kiribati and Bosnia, and currently works annually in Myanmar.
