Dr Bhandarkar is an experienced senior consultant psychiatrist with a passion for providing evidence based, recovery focused and holistic care for his patients.


Dr Bhandarkar completed his higher specialist training in the subject of general adult psychiatry with an endorsement in rehabilitation psychiatry from the prestigious Charing Cross Training Scheme in London. He is Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK and of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.


Over the last 10 years, he has worked as a consultant psychiatrist and held academic positions within the NHS hospitals and at the Kemsley National Brain Injury Rehabilitation Services in UK before relocating to Australia. Currently he holds a public hospital appointment with the Monash adult mental health program. He is actively involved in the medical students and registrar training at the Monash University, and also holds the title of Adjunct Lecturer with Monash University.


Dr Bhandarkar has interests and extensive experience in management of mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric conditions.
