Dr Jodie Benson graduated medicine from the University of Melbourne. She commenced her specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Monash Medical Centre.


Jodie completed her advanced training in Ireland, working at the Cork University Maternity Hospital. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand Collage of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2011. On her return to Australia, Jodie commenced work in Warrnambool, where she grew up. Having initially worked full time at the University Hospital Geelong, Jodie is actively involved in the teaching of medical students and junior doctors.


Jodie sits on the Stillbirth subcommittee of the Consultative Council of Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity at the Victorian Department of Health.


Jodie lives locally in Geelong with her two daughters.
