Dr Kiran Atmuri was trained at the Royal Women’s Hospital, and completed further training at Monash and Peninsula Health. He has public appointments at Monash Casey and Peninsula Health, in addition to being an Honorary Lecturer at Monash University.
Kiran is skilled and interested in all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In particular, he is interested in higher-risk pregnancy care, minimally-invasive laparoscopic or “key-hole” surgery, and perinatal mental health. He helped establish the Casey Perinatal Mental Health team where is the Obstetric lead.
He is able to provide care for:
Obstetrics, from low risk to higher-risk pregnancies including twin deliveries, VBAC and women with chronic medical conditions
Contemporary surgical options (minimally-invasive laparoscopic or “key-hole” surgery) for endometriosis, ovarian cysts and heavy periods
Conservative and surgical options for common uro-gynaecology conditions, such as abnormal bladder symptoms, incontinence and prolapse
Abnormal cervical screening tests needing colposcopy
Kiran’s working philosophy is to not rush your care, and to spend time with you to understand your circumstances and preferences to provide individualised care.
