A/Prof Arisudhan (“Ari”) Anantharachagan is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who specialises in high-risk obstetrics and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He operates at St John of God Murdoch Hospital, South Perth Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital and Fremantle Hospital.

He trained in medicine at the University of Birmingham (UK) and later specialised in obstetrics and gynaecology at St. George’s Hospital NHS Trust in London. His extensive international experience, having trained and worked across the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia, has shaped his broad clinical experience, strong commitment to medical education and interest in developing high-quality women’s health services across different health systems.

A/Prof Anantharachagan is the Head of Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the Fiona Stanley & Fremantle Hospital Group in Western Australia. He also holds an academic appointment as an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the University of Notre Dame Australia, where he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and junior doctors. He is co‑author of the textbook “Revision Notes for the MRCOG Part 1”, widely used by trainees preparing for the MRCOG examination.

Known for his calm, patient‑centered approach to women's health, A/Prof Anantharachagan is dedicated to partnering with women and their families to support safe, informed choices in pregnancy and gynaecological care.
