Breast cancer can include a combination of treatments, including surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and radiotherapy.

Thanks to the generosity of St John of God Foundation donors, suitable patients with early breast cancer can now access Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT), a rapid radiation treatment for breast cancer.

IORT dramatically reduces treatment time and minimises side effects, allowing patients to spend more time focusing on their recovery.

In our latest health and wellness podcast, St John of God Subiaco Hospital Breast Surgeon Prof Christobel Saunders AO explains this ground breaking treatment and its many benefits.
