Scholarship recipient hopes of inspiring positive change

A bright future awaits recent scholarship recipient and Associate Nurse Unit Manager, Helen as she embarks on a Masters in Nursing.

We are pleased to introduce, Helen Nadar, one of the recent recipients of the St John of God Health Care Sister Bridget Clancy Scholarship for the Empowerment of Women through Education.

The scholarship supports caregivers such as Helen undertake undergraduate or postgraduate studies in leadership development or fields related to women’s health.

Helen who is the Associate Nurse Unit Manager in the Medical Rehabilitation Ward at St John of God Bendigo Hospital said she will use the scholarship to complete a Masters in Nursing (Leadership and Management) at Monash University.

"My scholarship will enable me to grow professionally and take on leadership roles that demand a deeper understanding of evidence-based nursing practice," Helen said.

"Through post-graduate studies, I will acquire the skills and competencies necessary to inspire positive change and overcome the challenges of healthcare.

"I am eager to embrace this opportunity and become a successful nurse leader who can drive practice improvement and transform lives.

"I'm thrilled to have been chosen for the prestigious Sister Bridget Clancy Scholarship for empowering women through education."

Helen said her masters studies will build skills and knowledge "to make a real difference in the healthcare industry, advance my career, and contribute to positive healthcare outcomes".
