Where we are
Dr Djordje Zlatkovic is a dental surgeon, and he currently lives and maintains a private dental practice in Busselton.
His practice is called South West Oral Surgery and Implants and is restricted to provision of oral surgery such as dental implants, extractions and removal of wisdom teeth.
Djordje (pronounced George) emigrated from former Yugoslavia with his family in 1992. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 1999.
Then he enlisted in the Australian Army Dental Corps as a dental officer and spent the next ten years practicing general dentistry in a number of locations around Australia and abroad. Djordje always had a keen interest in the oral surgery aspect of dentistry, and opportunities for further study were firmly grasped. He completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Studies (Oral Surgery) from UWA in 2004 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Sedation and Pain Control) from the University of Sydney in 2007.
Since 2004, most of Djordje's clinical work involved provision of oral surgery treatment to service personnel. After discharging from the Army in 2009, Djordje moved from Perth to Busselton, where he joined Busselton Dental Clinic with referral based practice restricted to minor oral surgery.
In 2024, Djordje opened his own new practice in Busselton (South West Oral Surgery and Implants) which he still maintains.
Apart from treating patients at the practice, which includes treatment under intravenous sedation (twilight), Djordje also provides treatment under general anaesthetic at St John of God Bunbury Hospital, Busselton Hospital and Margaret River Hospital.
Djordje is married, with one child and lives in Busselton. His interests outside work are golf, snow skiing and motorsport (go kart racing).
