Dr Anand Trivedi is a locally trained General and Acute Care Surgeon committed to providing safe, evidence based and patient centred care. He practices publicly at Fiona Stanley and Fremantle Hospitals and consults and operates privately at St John of God Hospital, Murdoch.
   
Anand has a particular interest in complex hernias, abdominal wall reconstruction, emergency general surgery, and gastroscopy/colonoscopy. He is dedicated to offering contemporary surgical techniques with a focus on patient-centred care & achieving durable outcomes as well as supporting patients through every stage of their treatment journey.
   
Alongside his clinical work, Anand is actively involved in surgical education and training. He holds academic appointments as Senior Lecturer and Clinical Adjunct at the University of Western Australia (UWA), and contributes to skills training and research through the Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre (CTEC). His commitment to teaching has been recognised with the "Excellence in Surgical Teaching" Award from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
   
Dr Trivedi also contributes to professional governance and multidisciplinary collaboration. He serves on the Board in General Surgery as supervisor of surgical training, State committee member for Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS),Postgraduate Medical Council of WA, the ANZ Hernia Society, the RACS Sustainability Working Party, and is a member of the Australasian Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (AuSPEN). Through these roles, he works to support high standards of surgical practice, trainee wellbeing, and system level improvement.
   
Known for his approachable manner and collaborative style, Anand values strong communication with GPs and fellow specialists. He welcomes referrals for the full spectrum of general surgical conditions, with a particular focus on hernia surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, and acute general surgical presentations including endoscopy/colonoscopy.
