Dr Arty Surendran is a general surgeon with an interest in colorectal surgery.

He completed his medical degree at Monash University and specialist surgical training through Western Health in Melbourne. After being admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2024, Arty undertook, he undertook a sub-specialty Colorectal Fellowship at Cabrini and Alfred Health, focusing on the management of both benign and malignant colorectal conditions. After completing a General Surgical Fellowship at Bendigo Health in 2025, he developed a strong connection to the region and now calls Bendigo home.
   
Arty provides comprehensive care for both acute and chronic general surgical conditions, with clinical interests in colorectal disease, endoscopy, hernia surgery and minimally invasive techniques. He is actively involved in research and medical education, with numerous peer-reviewed publications, and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
