St John of God Midland Private Hospital will be located on Watertank Way, Midland within the historic railways precinct and is well connected to public transport and surrounding road networks. 

The hospital will welcome its first patients on Thursday 27 August 2026.

Yes, there is a dedicated paid public carpark accessed via Workshops Avenue, Midland. For more information about parking and how to get to the hospital, visit our Visitor information page.

There will be no emergency department at the new hospital. The closest emergency department is located at the existing St John of God Midland Public Hospital. 

The new St John of God Midland Private Hospital was developed to ensure private health care continues to grow alongside the needs of Perth's eastern suburbs and the Wheatbelt. Following the State Government's buyback of private beds at the existing co-located St John of God Midland health campus, the new purpose-built hospital expands access to high-quality private care, increases capacity for future demand and provides a modern environment for patients, specialists and caregivers.

Yes, we will be bringing our on-demand, in room dining service to the new hospital that will allow patients to order freshly prepared meals, snacks and beverages at a time that suits them.

If there are no positions advertised that suit your experience and qualifications, we recommend to ‘Introduce Yourself’ (found in the top right-hand corner of the portal) where you can complete a short form and upload your CV. You will also be notified if any roles become available in the future.

No, St John of God Midland Private Hospital is a new standalone hospital located at 41 Watertank Way, Midland. It is not located at the existing campus.

Yes, we will be offering some First Look Community Tours in August. This 45 minute guided tour experience offers an exclusive first look inside our new hospital before we officially open in August. You can register here.

Yes, the hospital will have a café located on the ground floor. In addition there will be several vending machines located throughout the hospital. 

Yes we will provide several onsite clinical services at the new hospital including pathology (provided by Australian Clinical Labs), radiology (provided by Perth Radiological Clinic) and Slade Pharmacy.
