Mission Vision Values
This is a
modern hospital, but it is not without history and traditions.
The Sisters of St John of God brought the
healing mission of Jesus to Western Australia in 1895, primarily to
help care for people affected by typhoid and other diseases in the
chaos of the 1890s gold rush.
These dedicated women based their service on
five maxims:
Nothing is “too much”,
nothing is “too good” for the sick.
Welcome and care for
each patient as if Jesus himself had come to us.
Healing will occur
best when the patient feels pampered.
The way you treat
things reflect the way you treat people.
It is the little
things that matter.
Today, the rich heritage brought to Western
Australia by the Sisters inspires us. We are committed to honouring
this heritage. We aim to do this by providing health care services
that promote life to the full.
Our commitment to the healing Mission finds
its form in our Service Ethos. This ethos or spirit is embedded in
an organisational culture built around our five core values.
- Hospitality
- Compassion
- Justice
- Respect
- Excellence
