Akuh is a consultant psychiatrist who trained at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA and has certification with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and has general and specialist registration with AHPRA.
Akuh has expertise in co-designing integrated care plans that promote collaboration between GPs, specialists, and relevant health professionals to help patients achieve their mental health goals.
Akuh obtained his PhD from Monash University examining the implementation of web-based care plans for chronic illness care. Akuh will endeavour to use telemedicine and other digital technologies to help patients put their integrated care plan into action.
