St John of God Health Care Eastern Hospitals Executive Director Bryan Pyne said Jo would bring invaluable insights to the hospital through her experiences as a director of nursing across a number of Melbourne private hospitals.

“We are pleased to have Jo take the lead at St John of God Warrnambool Hospital which is an important and valued facility in the local community,” he said.

“We are looking forward to seeing Jo shape and develop our services and care to continue serving the community now and into the future.”

Jo has a background in nursing and midwifery and has previously held director of nursing roles at various private hospitals throughout Melbourne.

She said she was excited to start in the role and building relationships with caregivers, doctors, patients and the wider community of Warrnambool.

“I think relationships are central to everything we do in health care and we know that every encounter can have far reaching effects,” she said.

“That it why a compassionate approach to what we do every day is essential, whether that is caring for a patient at their bedside, welcoming family and friends into our hospital or working with colleagues and partners in the community.”
