Subiaco advocate Ally moves her career close to home

After experience in a larger public hospital, Ally was seeking a more intimate community of colleagues and had always loved the idea of working at St John of God Subiaco Hospital.
“I feel really valued here. As a smaller unit it’s really lovely to get to know
people and to have more opportunities to undertake a wide variety of clinical work,” she said.
Ally felt fortunate to take part in a study day facilitated by a head consultant just days into her employment at the hospital.
“St John of God Subiaco Hospital is now sponsoring registered nurses to convert to midwifery at Notre Dame University, so I am very excited about possibly doing that as well,” she said.
Ally is a big Subiaco advocate as she and her husband rent only metres down the road from the hospital, with their kids at a local school close by.
“We know the area very well and we love it as we’ve been here for a while,” she said.
“There are lots of beautiful cafes, parks and restaurants to enjoy.”
No matter what stage of life you're in, St John of God Subiaco Hospital is a terrific place to work, according to Ally.
“You'll be given the support you need to work in the field you want,” she said.
