As part of the competition, caregivers from across 28 wards and departments have decorated their areas to reflect this year’s competition theme ‘What does Christmas mean to you?’
St John of God Subiaco Hospital Chief Executive Officer Professor Shirley Bowen was impressed by the creativity demonstrated by caregivers and the Christmas cheer they have brought to their areas.
“Their commitment to ensuring patients have a positive hospital experience over the Christmas period is truly reflected in their efforts,” she said.
“The decorations look absolutely amazing and are bringing so much joy to our patients and visitors.”
The competition was judged by members of the hospital’s executive team including Professor Bowen.
First prize was awarded to caregivers from the hospital’s Bendat Cancer Centre whose decorations represent hope, celebration and coming together.
Second and third prizes were awarded the NeoNatal Unit and the Intensive Care Unit respectively.
