Pre-primary students bring Christmas joy to hospital community

The students performed a contemporary nativity play in the hospital’s Chapel which used popular songs to help tell the story of Christ’s birth.

St John of God Subiaco Hospital Director of Mission Integration Jennifer Healey noted the children's singing, acting and delight in presenting was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended.

“Our Chapel was filled with caregivers, patients, St John of God Sisters, as well as members of the local community who came to watch the performance,” Jennifer said.

The nativity play was also broadcast live on television screens across the hospital for patients to enjoy in the comfort of their room.

St John of God Subiaco Hospital hosts a variety of community events as part of its annual festive calendar. Members of the community are also invited to Carols in the Chapel which is being held on Wednesday 5 December from 5.30pm to 7.00pm.
