Professor Jane Turner

Professor Jane Turner is a psychiatrist who has worked for over 25 years in oncology. She has taken a leading role in Australia in developing psychosocial clinical practice guidelines and is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Psycho-Oncology Society.

Her recent research includes two RCTs of interventions to promote wellness in cancer survivors: the Conquer Fear study (a manual-based intervention for fear of cancer recurrence based on elements of metacognitive therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and psycho-education), and the ENHANCES study (a nurse-delivered surivorship intervention for patients who have completed treatment for head and neck cancer).

Professor Turner has extensive experience in facilitation of communication skills training for diverse professional groups.
