Why did you join us?

I did a placement at St John of God Murdoch Hospital as a student nurse and knew this was where I wanted to work.

What do you enjoy most about working with us?

I love working at St John of God Murdoch Hospital. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else. I feel like we've got an excellent culture and everyone looks out for each other here.

What opportunities have you received while working with us?

I completed my graduate program here at St John of God Murdoch Hospital. I was provided lots of support and lots of education during that time. I was able to upskill as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse where I worked for five years and since then, I have been upskilled to become a Clinical Documentation Specialist Nurse.

What do you love about living in Perth?

Perth is a great place to live. We have everything that you could hope for - we've got the beach, we've got Fremantle, we've got the city.  You can pop down south (of Perth) after a couple of hours drive to Margaret River and see all the beautiful wineries. It's a great place to live.

How do you socialise with your team outside of work?

I've met some of the best friends of my life through my work here at St John of God Murdoch Hospital. We love to catch up for a coffee on the weekend, or grab some drinks after work. It's great to feel that connection to your colleagues.

What does St John of God Health Care do to make you feel cared about in the workplace?

What other hospital gives their caregivers a Christmas party each year and a ball? They celebrate wins with free coffee and chocolate. It's pretty cool.
