Miguel Fuentes wins St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital 2020 Caregiver of the Year Award

Congratulations to Miguel Fuentes who in the recipient of the St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital 2020 Caregiver of the Year Award.
Miguel works on the Medical and Surgical Ward as a Registered Nurse.

Miguel Fuentes caregiver of the year award 2020

 Miguel was was nominated by several fellow caregivers who said the following: 

 “I have had the privilege of working alongside Miguel for many years. His genuine caring approach is constantly displayed, not only to this patients and colleagues, but these qualities continue in his everyday lifestyle."

"Miguel is committed to providing quality care each time he arrives to work; he is a fantastic nurse, shows genuine compassion and respect. He is willing to work in all areas of the hospital, be redeployed and is never hesitant to work extra hours if the hospital is short staffed. He is super polite and friendly and always has a happy demeanour with an infectious smile."

"Whilst not at work, these characteristics continue, as he dedicates his time to assist stranded backpackers find safe host accommodation, job possibilities and even food hampers via his Adopt a Backpacker Facebook page."

"Miguel has been awarded 'Star of the Week' twice recently so I believe he is truly a worthy winner of this award. Well done Miguel."

The Caregiver of the Year Award was chosen from 12 of our Living Values Award recipients this year.
