Aimee takes September Caregiver Living Values Award

Aimee was nominated by Gail Miller, Specialist Rehabilitation Service Nurse Manager, for consistently demonstrating excellent leadership skills and always going above and beyond for her colleagues and patients. 

“Aimee is a much valued member of our team,” says Gail. 

“She consistently shows excellent leadership, always willing to share her knowledge and experience with others, while providing excellent care to her patients. 

“Our area has gone through some significant changes and Aimee has taken these in her stride, supporting her team and other caregivers on the floor to help them when new processes are introduced.” 

Gail says Aimee is an accredited ‘Functional Independence Measurement’ (FIM) trainer, which is used to track the changes and progress of patients during their rehabilitation journey. 

“Aimee is committed to making sure this outcome measure is used effectively by all caregivers looking after our patients and provides education to her colleagues, both on a one-on-one basis and in team meetings. 

“I wanted to recognise Aimee for her hard work as she is soon going on parental leave.  In the lead up to this exciting time for Aimee, she has been busy preparing her Occupational Therapy team to make sure they are prepared and supported during her leave. 

“This perfectly shows her commitment and we are all very proud of her.” 

Director of Mission, Mario Bugna led the team in an afternoon tea celebration in acknowledgement of this award. 

“The Caregiver Living Values Award is our way of making sure those who go above and beyond are recognised for their work,” says Mario. 

“Aimee’s achievements demonstrate our value of Excellence.”
