New look family birthing suite for SJG Mt Lawley Hospital
We are excited to unveil our fully refurbished birthing suite, giving mums-to-be coming to SJG Mt Lawley a peek at what they might expect from our Family Birthing Unit.

Midwifery Manager, Emma Cook says the new suite provides first-class surroundings for women birthing their babies.
“We want our mums to have the very best experience as possible at SJG Mt Lawley Hospital,” says Emma.
“This includes providing a calm, comforting environment in our birthing suite.
“What makes this refurbishment different is that the suite is the result of months of consultation and was specifically designed by our midwives for our mums.
“The suite was completely gutted and we have started from the floor up with new fittings, furnishings and décor.”
Ms Chris Hanna, Chief Executive Officer congratulated the midwifery team on their involvement in the design and function of the birth suite.
“Our aim is to offer a boutique, private maternity experience for mums and their partners. The new birth suite reflects this ambition and means it is also purpose-built for our midwives.
“We wish all our parents-to-be the very best and hope they enjoy staying at SJG Mt Lawley Hospital,” says Chris.
