Kay was nominated by Clinical Nurse, Summa Lewington who says Kay goes above and beyond her duties as a Pantry Assistant each and every day.

“Kay does everything to look after all of us, making sure both theatre staff and our doctors always have lots of food and importantly, coffee.

“She works hard so that we have a relaxing and comfortable space to come to in between our theatre cases, and we really appreciate her efforts,” says Summa.

Nurse Unit Manager, Oliver Brennan says Kay’s value was felt, and seen, when she recently went on holidays

“I have never seen someone leave such a noticeable hole as when Kay was away,” says Oliver.

“It was incredible to see how excited the entire department was when she was due back at work.

“Kay’s selfless attitude and her commitment to her job and her team make me proud to see her recognised for this award.

“Nothing is too big or too small for Kay, and she carries out all of her duties with a smile.

“She is the backbone of our team and adds positively to the morale of the department.”

Congratulations Kay – a very well deserved award.
