With over 20 years at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital, Rosie is a huge part of the fabric of our hospital ‘family’, and for this, she is the recipient of the June Living Values Caregiver Award.

Nominated by both Debbie Ewing and Tyne Purdy for demonstrating ‘Hospitality’, Rosie joined with her peers at a special morning tea.

Debbie says Rosie is a wonderful ambassador for our hospital.

“We worked closely together for many years, and it is great to see the connection Rosie shares with so many caregivers,” says Debbie.

“She goes above and beyond and because of her wicked Irish sense of humour, she is helpful, friendly and always has a smile on her face. I speak with Rosie often to organise functions, and appreciate her organisation and commitment to detail.  She is a very special part of our hospital.”

Tyne says Rosie has helped immensely with marketing and public relations activities.

“From the beginning, Rosie has connected me with people throughout the hospital and many of the wonderful photographs on our Facebook and website page are taken by her.

“It is not only her photographic skills I appreciate, it is also the pride she takes in coordinating events and functions, making sure everything is accounted for.

“She is a beloved face throughout the hospital and is constantly working away in the background and I am so pleased to see her recognised for her hard work, commitment and passion,” says Tyne.

The Caregiver Living Values Awards recognise caregivers who truly reflect our values of excellence, hospitality, compassion, justice and respect.
