Pathology

Pathology is a medical specialty that helps determine the cause and nature of diseases.

It involves examining and testing body tissues and fluids. The results from these tests help doctors diagnose and treat patients.

You may be sent for a pathology test either by your general practitioner (GP) or specialist as part of your medical care.

A specialist pathologist, a qualified doctor, views the specimens and provides a report to your doctor to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

Since 10 October 2016, our pathology services have been operated by Clinical Labs.
