To help us achieve this, we provide a number of consumer engagement opportunities to encourage people to have their say and to review and inform our hospital practices.
Consumer advisory group
Members of our consumer advisory group are representatives from the local community who have experienced hospital care as a patient, family member or as a carer of someone who has used our services.
We call a meeting four times a year. Our consumer advisory group provides feedback on:
- hospital service planning and quality improvement
- hospital publications and the relevance and readability of content
- audits on way-finding around the hospital
Members can also participate in committees, such as the Safety and Systems Committee.
