The hospital’s new Active Health and Wellbeing (AHW) program offers one-off or casual appointments with one of our allied health professionals.

Director of Clinical Services – Rehabilitation Sally Faulkner said the new Active Health and Wellbeing Program was providing the local community the opportunity to experience the broad range of rehabilitation care and services we provide all conveniently located on the same site.

“Our allied health clinicians are specialists in their field and we wanted there to be easier access to our team for sports injuries, ongoing management of chronic conditions or for just overall wellbeing management,” Sally said.

“The new program allows anyone to call our hospital and make an appointment, no GP referral is required.”

Based in the hospital’s new consulting rooms, all Active Health and Wellbeing programs give patients access to modern equipment and the hospital’s purpose-built rehabilitation gyms and hydrotherapy pool.

“Rehabilitation ensures patients obtain the best possible health outcomes, regardless of their recovery journey, it is individualised and provides the platform for ongoing safe, health and wellbeing.” she said.

“We are proud to offer a comprehensive range of specialist clinicians including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists, dietitians and speech pathologists who provide advice and support to help improve wellbeing after accident, injury, illness or surgery.”

To enquire or make an appointment please call (03) 9788 3331. A GP referral is only required for a Chronic Disease Management Scheme.
