Our senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist, Jorgen Forsberg, recently presented at the Momentum 2017 Physiotherapy Conference in Sydney.

Jorgen has developed three accredited dry needling courses currently being taught Australia wide and has trained over 3000 health care practitioners including our own team of physiotherapists and other professionals from around Australia and overseas.

At the conference, he presented a knee workshop displaying the latest needling techniques and spoke about recent evidence in low back pain treatment. There is now high-level evidence for physiotherapy combined with dry needling or acupuncture for the treatment of low back, shoulder and knee pain as well as headaches.

Our hospital often combines dry needling with pain treatment and we have 14 physiotherapists fully trained in dry needling techniques.
