“A week in, it felt like I had been working here forever,” she said.
“It has just been so easy to fit in.”
“From the first day, everyone has been so welcoming and it has just been really nice to come into work everyday and feel a part of the team.”
Jess has only worked as an occupational therapist for about 18 months, and working in a hospital is a new experience for her having previously worked in the community setting.
“I am very early on in my career and I thought working in a hospital would be a great opportunity to broaden my clinical experience,” she said.
“In a hospital there is no average day. I am able to work across all of the wards, surgical to medical, and support people meet their individual goals.
“Being an occupational therapist really aligned my desires to work in health care and to work with people so I am so pleased to be able to get this hospital experience so early in my career.”
