Suicide Prevention Coordinator Shelley O’Brien presented Home Hardware Manager Paul and staff member Geraldine Clarke with a certificate of appreciation from LivingWorks recognising their partnership and commitment towards training community members in safeTALK, a model of suicide alertness training.

The Suicide Prevention project provided Geraldine safeTALK training, to become a facilitator.

Home Hardware supported Geraldine's employment to include her time to become a registered facilitator with LivingWorks and to deliver training.

"This has enabled Geraldine to be able to deliver this valuable training across the southwest as part of her work role," Shelley said.

"Home Hardware represent a collaborative business sector commitment to building a suicide safer community.

"We were really pleased to be able to represent LivingWorks and to recognise the local business and Paul and Geraldine individually."

safeTALK is a half-day alertness workshop that prepares anyone over the age of 15, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.
