Learning outcomes
1. Identify and manage endometriosis in primary care, including appropriate investigation and treatment options.
2. Evaluate management options for adenomyosis and tailor treatment based on symptom severity, reproductive goals, and patient preferences.
3. Discuss investigation and management of female infertility by identifying common causes, interpreting key investigations, and applying appropriate treatment options.
4. Develop the ability to assess, diagnose, and manage early pregnancy complications including miscarriage.
5. Assess and manage a short cervix to prevent preterm birth, using appropriate diagnostic tools and interventions.
6. Outline the evidence-based use of low-dose aspirin in pregnancy, including risk assessment for pre-eclampsia, appropriate initiation, dosing, and duration of therapy
7. Develop the ability to assess and manage postmenopausal bleeding in patients using hormone replacement therapy, including risk stratification, appropriate use of investigations and timely referral for specialist care.
8. Identify and manage vaginal prolapse using conservative, pessary, and surgical treatment options.
