Auxiliary donation to hospital

Each year the St John of God Ballarat Hospital Auxiliary and Volunteers work very hard to raise funds for the hospital.

This year is no exception concluding with a very successful year of fundraising and fellowship

A generous donation of $85,000 was presented to the hospital at the Auxiliary’s Annual General Meeting held 21 July.

Manager of Volunteers Eunice Reynolds said the gift shop sales continue to be the major source of fund raising, followed by fortnightly pop-up book sales, the Christmas Raffle and stall and the Mother’s Day raffle and cake stall.

“Auxiliary members, volunteers and friends enjoyed four movie/luncheons throughout the year,” Eunice said.

Glenda Blenkiron and Helen Bushby retired from the Auxiliary Committee but remain on as volunteers.
