We have five Tongans visiting St John of God Ballarat Hospital, with four here as part of the hospital’s Tongan Twinning Program a fifth for the Lake Imaging Twinning Program.

The hospital participants are Mrs Fusi Kaho Nurse Practitioner, Mrs Meliame Tupou Senior Nursing Sister, Mrs Mele Latai Faleafa Nurse Staff Diplomate, Mrs Ma’ata Veituna Palu Assistant Pharmacist Grade II and  Mrs Siutaisa Katoanga Radiographer with Lake Imaging.

Fusi and Meleani are nurse administrators and hope to  gain a broad based view of how our hospital functions from a management perspective.

As with past middle management exchanges they will visit many areas of the hospital.

Mele works in community health with wound and stoma care, and will primarily be hosted by Wound Care Specialist, Carolyn Mornane.

Ma’ata is an assistant pharmacist who will be hosted by Lee Belcher and her team in Pharmacy.

Siutaisa will be hosted by the Lake Imaging team.
