How long have you worked with us?

Three and a half years.

Why did you choose to work with us?

My mum was actually a manager in IT at St John of God Health Care and I was in retail and wanted a change so she told me they were advertising and I applied. It was fun to work with my mum at the time too.

How has your career progressed with us?

So I started on the service desk taking support calls and giving technical assistance to our caregivers and, since March 2022, I have been a project support officer in the project team. This was a great promotion for me.

What does working with health care mean for you?

On service desk I talk to a lot of doctors and nurses so I felt like I was there helping them which was great.

Are you friends with your colleagues?

So I met my partner here and a lot of his friends work here and we have all became friends. We have games nights together. So it is a very friendly place to work.

How would you describe your work arrangements?

It’s great. Really good environment. Very flexible. I have a toddler so I have to work from home a lot because it is close to childcare. Having that flexibility has been great.

I do like coming into the office too because it is such a beautiful office with great facilities.

What would you say to other women thinking of working in technology?

I was actually went to a women in technology conference recently through work. We had a table. It just shows the difference in number of women working in tech compared to men. We need more women.
