St John of God Health Care appoints new Group Director Mission Integration

Western Australian Catholic icon St John of God Health Care has appointed Tara Peters as its new Group Director Mission Integration.

Ms Peters has been with St John of God Health Care for more than six years and has a broad background in finance, human resources and lay ministry roles spanning corporate, health care and Catholic Church ministry settings. Group Director Mission Integration Tara Peters

She is an active member of the Catholic community and her lay ministry experience spans more than 20 years.

Making the announcement, Group CEO Dr Shane Kelly said that Group Director Mission Integration was a pivotal role at St John of God Health Care, requiring a range of highly specialised skills.

”Ensuring we remain faithful to our Mission, Vision and our Catholic identity is of critical importance to St John of God Health Care, and the role is fundamental to this.”

Ms Peters said she was looking forward to serving St John of God Health Care in this new capacity.

“We work for a wonderful organisation with a rich heritage and legacy from the Sisters of St John of God.

“I’m very aware that I walk in the footsteps of those who have gone before me and look forward to continuing the work they established. I am honoured to serve as part of the leadership team and alongside our caregivers at St John of God Health Care as we offer healing, hope and a greater sense of dignity, especially to those most in need in our community,” she said.

Her appointment is effective immediately and she will continue to be based in Perth.

St John of God Health Care is one of Australia’s largest Catholic health care providers with services that included hospitals, home nursing, disability and outreach services throughout Australia and New Zealand.
