Welcoming new Directors of Medical Services
Three St John of God Health Care hospitals have welcomed a new Director of Medical Services to their management teams.

Dr Anthony Bell, Dr Jemma Hogan and Andrew Wesseldine have taken on the Director of Medical Services role at our Midland, Mt Lawley and Murdoch hospitals respectively, each with extensive clinical, management and leadership experience.
Dr Anthony Bell - Director of Medical Services, St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals
Anthony is an emergency physician with 25 years’ experience in clinical practice and leadership across the public and private sector. In addition to his work as the Director of Medical Services, Anthony works as a consultant in the hospital’s Emergency Department.
Part of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine leadership alumni and a Fulbright Scholar, Anthony has a keen interest in evidence-based health policy and value-based healthcare.
Dr Jemma Hogan - A/Director of Medical Services, St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital
Jemma is a doctor specialising in medical administration (RACMA) and paediatric medicine (RACP). She has previously worked at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals as a Medical Administration Registrar and for five years in administration roles at St John of God Subiaco Hospital.
As the current Co-Chair of the AMA WA Doctors in Training Committee and a State representative on the AMA National Council, in addition to being a member of the WA Clinical Senate, Jemma brings a strong commitment and passion for junior doctor training and support.
Andrew Wesseldine - Director of Medical Services, St John of God Murdoch Hospital
Andrew is a dual trained general physician, geriatrician and stroke physician and has held a multitude of leadership positions including Head of Department of General Medicine and Director Post Graduate Medicine at St John of God Subiaco Hospital.
He was born in New Zealand and moved to Perth in 2002 to complete his training.
