Young mums celebrate Mother's Day
Young mums from the St John of God Horizon House Young Mother and Baby Program Bendigo celebrated Mother’s Day with a special community donation.

/>The St John of God Horizon House Young Mother and Baby Program received several donations including care packages consisting of beauty supplies, bags and other items which were donated by Sunshine Bendigo, Share the Dignity and other local businesses. Young Mum and Baby Program Support Coordinator, Linda Robertson said she was thankful for all the donations which meant so much for the young mums.
“It was a particularly special Mother’s Day, because it was the first for all of our young mums, but it was made even more special because of the community’s generosity,” Linda said.
“It’s comforting to know that during these unprecedented times, the Bendigo community have rallied together and thought of the people in programs like Horizon House who always need compassion and kindness.”
St John of God Horizon House Young Mother and Baby Program, provides accommodation and support to vulnerable young mothers aged 16 to 22.
