Susan Pascoe AM appointed St John of God Health Care Trustee

The Members of St John of God Australia Limited have announced the appointment of Ms Susan Pascoe AM as a Trustee of St John of God Health Care.

Her appointment started on 31 May 2018.

Ms Pascoe has represented Australia at the highest levels including at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), United National World Education Form and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

She has outstanding credentials in the Catholic sector and was previously a board member at Cabrini Health and Chair of Patient Experience and Clinical Governance Committee. She has held a range of other high-profile governance roles in Catholic education.

She was the inaugural Commissioner for the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), Australia's first national, independent regulator of charities and was appointed one of three Commissioners for the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Black Saturday Bushfires in 2009.

Her significant achievements and leadership were acknowledged in 2007 when she was appointed Member of the Order of Australia for service to education through a range of executive roles, and international Initiatives for educators in the Pacific region.

As a Trustee of SJGHC, Ms Pascoe will be responsible for appointing the St John of God Health Care Board, which in turn has responsibility for the organisation’s ongoing stewardship and strategic direction. Trustees also ensure that the Ministry of the organisation remains faithful to its role within the Catholic Church.
