Dr Nguyen is an experienced plastic reconstructive and hand surgeon.

After graduating with a MMBS from University of Western Australia, Dr Nguyen undertook extensive plastic surgery training in Sydney where he spent some time with Sydney Melanoma Unit. After being awarded the Plastic Surgery Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he underwent further training in hand and upper limb surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA.

Between 2001 and 2005, Dr Nguyen joined the teaching faculty as an Assistant Professor. During this time, he engaged in a number of research projects in peripheral nerve regeneration. He studied and designed different distraction devices to assist in the management of difficult finger fractures from sports related injury.

Dr Nguyen has a keen interest in teaching medical students, general practitioners, resident and trainee registrars. He was awarded teacher of the year at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr Nguyen is passionate about providing a comprehensive and compassionate care for patients.

Dr Nguyen works for St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals, he accepts referrals for public, private and workers compensation patients.
